Music thrives at Greasby Junior School, where pupils explore a vibrant tapestry of global musical traditions—from African drumming and Chinese pentatonic melodies to jazz, Baroque compositions and modern musical theatre. With support from the Kapow scheme and partnerships like Edsential and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, our curriculum builds musical fluency in singing, composing, performing and understanding notation and music history.
Live performances, whole-class instrumental tuition (such as ukulele in Year 4), and creative workshops help bring music to life. As pupils progress through Key Stage 2, they learn to perform, improvise, collaborate and reflect with increasing confidence and expression.
Our commitment to music ensures that every child can discover their voice and passion, regardless of background or ability.
